Michael Villa is an entrepreneur, oil painter, and, almost by accident, an author. His deep connection to Ireland began as a family journey and grew into an enduring passion. As the founder and president of Dovetail Internet Technologies, LLC, he has spent decades building innovative solutions for businesses, but his heart has always been drawn to the people, history, and culture that inspire meaningful connection.
His debut book, Pints and Power, explores the enduring role of Guinness in shaping modern Ireland — weaving together history, culture, and the voices of those who live it. Through travels, interviews, and countless shared pints, Michael captures the quiet, powerful ways a single brand has flowed beneath the story of a nation.
Beyond business and writing, Mike enjoys oil painting with an eye for realism, dedicated to capturing the varying aspects of light in our world. When not painting, writing, or leading his company, he can be found enjoying live music, exploring Ireland’s hidden corners, or sharing a pint and a good story with friends both old and new. He lives in Massachusetts with his family and makes frequent trips to Ireland, where he continues to find inspiration for future work.
